Been playing with Apple Notes. I need to share some notes with someone who also uses it. Otherwise I'd stick with Notability.
Anyway, here's the issue. When creating a new note on the iPhone, I can type, or handwrite with a stylus or whatever, then when I go to insert an image, that image is in a section of the note which can't be touched, edited or annotated.
I then go to the iPad and do the same. Create a new note, insert an image then select the pen tool. I found that I can write over the image.
I let icloud sync do its thing.
I then go back to the iPhone and open the note that I created on the ipad. I found that I can annotate the image, draw on it or whatever. But I cannot do that with notes created on the iPhone.
Back to the ipad. I open the note that was created on the iPhone. It cannot be annotated over the inserted image.
So, create the note on the iphone, not annotation.
Create the note on the iPad, you can annotate.
Weird.
I so wish that the iphone would allow us to annotate inserted images in notes that are created on it. The iPhone, especially the Maxes, are perfect note takers as they're larger, you always have them (or mostly).
I use Notability because it's so much easier to do freeform notes how I want them. But sharing between users isn't as easy as Notes, plus you need to buy the app and not many people do that, I've found.
