I got to say, macOS Tahoe is not meeting my expectations! When I use the notes app in macOS Tahoe, it glitches frequently whenever I type into the table boxes. I would like type in a word and the last character would switch to the other side of the curser! It is so annoying! Also when you copy and paste a table box to another one, the text turns black and creates the wrong font even in dark mode! Anybody else notice this? Try creating a table in notes and then type in some words, you will see what I mean!

I've noticed this too. For example, when selecting a table cell and then typing "Hello" into it, the cell renders "elloH".

However, I think I'd noticed this both before and after upgrading to Tahoe. I believe I sent feedback about it.

not having issues in notes, and this is true since the first beta....
Try using the tables in notes app, make enough of them and then type in all of them you end up making and then you will see what I mean.

I'm having that exact issue using Notes in iPadOS (26.1) today and it's driving me mad. I first blamed my BT keyboard but it was happening with the onscreen keyboard later, so realized it's on Apple.

I have groups of students that collaborate on shared Notes for certain tasks; Tahoe has rendered it unusable. I've seen reports that it happened on prior OS revisions as well, but I have never encountered it, even with extensive collaborative usage. On the other hand, it had already gotten over-featured and "too-smart" enough that it was becoming increasingly difficult to use (i.e. auto-completes names with an @ symbol in front, difficult to select text in a list since it "smartly" decides for you that you want to move the list entry up or down, rather than highlighting the text, etc.)

(Also, anyone know a good open-source/free Notes replacement that supports Apple's collaborative iCloud infrastructure?)

Notes has been like that for yeeeaaaarrrrrrs, on all my devices not even just MacOS. You can find support topics about it from years ago. Mind boggling that it hasn't been fixed yet. Makes you think nobody at Apple uses their own products otherwise they would have fixed that in a day.
