Does the Notes app on iOS 6 update in the background using push (when using it with iCloud)?

In iOS 5 the problem is that the Notes app doesn't update with the iCloud server until it is opened and still it takes 10 seconds for it to update after being opened. I wish it could update in the background without even being opened (just like the calendar app).

Thanks for replies! :)

In other words, when you write Notes (in Notes app) on Mountain Lion and then open the Notes app on iOS 6, is it already updated or does it update only after you've opened it?

Answer will be much appreciated because this is the only factor that'll make me upgrade to iOS 6.
