Is there an app for notes that can be password protected?

For instance, if I want t keep a note about Christmas gifts, I'd like to be able to put a password on it so the kiddos can't peek.:D

I would suggest looking at 1Password - it has secure notes.

Plus it is a great app - its on the MAS and iPhone as well

If you already own something like Pages, you can simply make a new document and password protect that document. I know this works for Word on Windows as well so it should also work on the Mac (I haven't done it on Word on Mac yet so cannot tell you for sure).

I shoulda been more clear. I am looking for something I can use on my iPhone & iPad.

Check out Notes Plus. It's a very fully featured app (probably more than you need, as it's more of a lecture note taking app), but it allows password protecting of folders.

Another great program is NoteCase by Virtual Sky...excellent program and developer support....I have Pro version that has some extra features over the free version...

Has multiple OS support (Macs, Windows, Linux) so you can use across multiple devices if desired plus it has plugin supportl to extend functionality....

Check it out at http://www.virtual-sky.com/index.php

Evernote

Evernote is another option, free and multi-platform.

Downside is that while the text within a note can be password protected, a note or notebook cannot be (I hope they change this).
