I recently lost my iTouch and just purchased a new one. I updated my new iTouch with my old backup in hopes of my notes (Notes Application) would transfer to my new iTouch. Unfortunately this did not happen. I had kept track of my son's milestones in notes on my old iTouch and I really need them back.

What did I do wrong? Is there anyway to get my notes back? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

iTunes-

When you are in iTunes click on your new iPod and up on top there should be a bunch of tabs like music, videos, stuff like that. Make sure that you click on all of those tabs and click the checkboxes on all of them that say to sync that data. Then it should sync everything, including your notes.

Hope this helps, it seems important to you

In 4.0 you can sync notes with Gmail. Just have the flick the switch on for the Notes part in your Gmail account setup in Settings. If you still have your old iPod Touch you could have it sync up to Gmail, then sync down from Gmail to your new device.
