Couple of issues with Notes that I'm trying to resolve. Even back on iOS 5 I found that new Notes wouldn't save. I could open the Notes app, type a new note and select "Done", but after closing and re-opening Notes that newly typed note would be gone.
Newer problem came about on a new device on iOS 6 which wasn't saving notes, just as before. I opened Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings and switched the link between my Mail account and Notes back on to see if that might fix it. Now the Notes app fails to open, crashing immediately. Searched for solutions and found a post which seemed to indicate that syncing could fix it, but that hasn't helped. Restoring from a backup hasn't resolved it either.
I went back to the old device still on 5.1.1 and opened Notes there to test it. Typed a new note to see if it would save after closing, but now the Notes app simply crashes on opening as well.
Any ideas as to possible causes or solutions?
