Notes running slow

I’m on 18.0.1 on my iPhone 12 mini. Not noticing much slowdown across the OS, except with tying in the Notes app. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same? Typing this post out has been smooth, but were I to type the same amount of text out in the Notes app, it would hang maybe 3-4 times.
