Does anyone else find it a little ridiculous that there is nothing between 200GB and 20GB?

My iPhoto Library is 16 GB, and I'd like to be able to have the library grow. Combined with email and a few other files, 20 Gb is not gonna cut it for me. However, I find it a little ridiculous that there is nothing between $1 and $4 a month. I either have to pay $12 a year for 20GB or $48 for 200 GB but I can't get 50 GB for $24? Thanks :apple:

If you're gonna force me to buy 200 GB, at least let me share it between my family with Family Sharing. iCloud Drive has a lot of work to be done.

I don't find it ridiculous. I'm paying $47.88/year for 200GB of storage. Pretty nice, compared to their older rates.

Recommend posting feedback for Apple - they are the ones who can offer more tiers. They're trying to keep it simple...which will anger those that want more customization.

I don't understand why we can't share it with our family. That's my biggest complaint. It's absurd that I may have to buy two 200GB of storage just so my wife and I can store the EXACT SAME photos on our devices since she has a separate iCloud account than me.

There's always somebody that has to complain about something. Apple just reduced the price significantly and you're complaining that it's still too expensive.

I have no issue with the price. My issue is that my wife and I have separate iCloud accounts, but share everything. I wish our photos would sync immediately (i.e. When she takes a picture it uploads to my library once we get on wifi).

I also find it crazy that they are making us pay for two separate storages when we are storing the exact same photos. Why not let us share one storage plan?

iCloud is **not** cloud storage, it is a glorified cloud syncing service. iCloud still relies on local storage being utilized on whatever devices you have for your data. Ontop of that, there is zero customization for sharing or selective sync options.

I cannot fathom why anyone would pay for addidtional iCloud space with the other options out there. Apple was (and remains) extremely deceptive in their marketing of iCloud drive in its current form.

"Any kind of file. On all of your devices"

yeah... right

i agree. instead of 1 200gb plan with all our same photos...we buy 2 and it's a mirror of each other except the pics she takes on her phone etc.

bc not everyone wants to use different services for everything.

Pricing is incredible to be honest. I couldn't be happier with the iCloud experience, the price or the vast range of benefits included. Nobody else can compete with the cohesive experience you get with all your devices and iCloud services working together. It's amazing.

Are we talking about the same iCloud Drive?
