Is there a noticable difference between the 2.4 Ghz and 2.66 GHz intel core 2 duo processor for the 13.3 Macbook Pro in terms of task such as surfing the web, watching HD movies, watching videos on Internet, and other everyday tasks? Is it worth the extra money to buy the 2.66 GHz processor? Has there been any benchmark tests?*

I really have no idea, but I'm willing to bet that there isn't a $300 difference :)

I have the same question but...

...for slightly more processor using apps than the original poster.

Yes, I need the smaller form factor. The most intensive apps I’ll likely use are Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, Streamclip, and Handbrake…and maybe some games if Steam makes my wishes come true.

I called the Apple Store, and she said that I won’t see much difference between the 2.4 and 2.66 unless I’m using the Pro apps…in which case she recommended I go with an iCore in the 15” or 17” anyway.

Your thoughts or experience.

Edit: She did say that I *might* see difference when writing large files (like video) to the drive.
