Hi,
Questions: Is there a noticable speed bump in terms of daily tasks? What about portability? What about the screen and keyboard quality, would it be a significant step down from the old MBP's?

Backstory: So I'm thinking of picking up a 13" MBP and then eventually selling the 15" for a 17" matte as a desktop replacement for serious audio work, photography, gaming, ect. I currently have a just over 2.5 year old MBP (15" Led Matte, non-unibody, 2.4 C2D, 2GB, 160GB, 256MB Video) and its showing its age through being pokey, dead batt. (only ever really got >2.5 hrs anyway,) quirky sleep patterns (which the Genius's can never reproduce...) and nearing the end of its Applecare. I'm debating whether or not to pick up the new 13" MBP for grad school.

I also use my MBP for audio work (Live 8, Reaktor, Guitar rig, ect.) and LOTS of video playback, the later of which its showing its age, (stuttering, high fan speed/noise during HD streaming, ect.) If these things would be fixed, and the battery life is really around 5+ hours, its worth it as an intermediary until I eventually pick up the next 17" revision. If not, I'll just pick up a new battery and bump the Ram to 4GB.

However, the 13" is also appealing since I'd like something closer to the 12" PB I had previously so as to actually fit on the flip out desks, trains, in a car, ect. and have something I don't need to plug in during my 5 hour school day. So you who own it, is it worth the upgrade, or is it going to be basically the same machine as my current 15"?

PS please excuse the odd grammar, I've been translating Greek all morning!
