iOS Notification for incoming SMS

Hey guys,

I would like for my application to be able to be notified when a text message is received (SMS or iMessage). Not necessary to read it just that one is received.

Is there some function or some notification my application can monitor for when an SMS is received (by the default application)?

Thanks for any help.
