Somewhere in the middle
Has anyone noticed when the phone is asleep notifications aren't showing up? I'm talking about Exchange Email and Gmail. Texts are fine. Sometimes they work just fine. But other times I'm not getting them unless I actually have those apps opened.

Figured out a way to fix it?

Ok.... So it's something to do with my apple watch. I just turned it off and they're working again. Turn my watch back on and put it on and not getting notifications again. Never had this happen with my 7+. Still the same watch. Problem solved (kind of). I'll wear my other watch until this is resolved.

If the phone is locked and you're wearing your watch, notifications will show up on your watch. If the phone is unlocked, even if you're wearing your watch, they will show up on the phone. If you're not wearing your watch, they will all show up on your phone. Mine has always behaved that way. I believe there's a way to adjust the watch notification settings to force the notifications to show up on both.

Yep, definitely the watch. Though there weren't going there either. Left the watch at home and they've been working fine now. I'll look at the settings tomorrow. Thanks!
