I started using my MBP this morning and immediately got a notification a new device had been added to my account.

But I haven't done so. Nor have I recently activated any old devices, or added new family members etc. (as it seems can happen, from a search of these forums).

I checked immediately in Settings (as the notification suggests) and it's still just showing my iPhone, MBP and iPad.

Any ideas? I have all the security measures activated, including TFA and full end-to-end encryption.

I had a similar thing. My series 10 Apple Watch would not activate on AT&T and I tried probably 20-30 times before taking it to AT&T. Since then I keep getting the device has been added. It would not surprise me one bit if it’s because of all those attempts…we know how big telecoms use ancient tech on the back end. I hadn’t gotten one lately until today, interestingly, right after I got a software update notification for watchOS 11.3 beta 2 notification.
