Since buying my new iPhone 11 7 days ago, I only get notification alerts (haptics) on my iWatch4. No alert sound on my iPhone (banners are there when I look). My iPhone 7 gave me both the iwatch haptic AND my alert notification sounds on my phone. Is there some way to get them on both devices? BTW if I'm not wearing my watch, the alerts do sound normally on the 11.

It is behaving as intended I believe. I only ever get audible and haptic notifications on my watch when I’m wearing it, and not on my phone (as you say, banner notifications are there). They will of course all come through on my phone if I’m not wearing the watch. It has always behaved like that for me.
Thank you for your reply, but I've had my watch since last Feb. and my iPhone 7 for nearly 3 yrs. I never have had them both NOT get the notifications.....haptics on watch and sound on iPhone. I guess it's something I'm going to have to get used to, but you'd think I should have a choice of the sounds not coming through on the phone too. Thanks again.
