Notification sounds not working on iphone 11 pro max

I think it's an iOS 13 bug. I have had the same problems since iOS 13.0, and there are several threads in the main iPhone subform on notification problems. I tried reinstalling iOS, tried unpairing all Bluetooth devices on the chance it was trying to play the notifications on some BT device, reset all settings - nothing made any difference.
Yep. It's a bug. Notifications is a total mess on iOS 13.
No alerts on iMessage AT ALL.
Turn off iMessage and revert to SMS and then I do receive notifications.
But repeat alerts? Nah! Even on SMS, however many repeats you've set, you just get the first one so it's really easy still to miss texts.
Not that people rely on messaging or anything. 🙄
And just to get frivolous for a moment. Turn off the annoying "stickers" in the keyboard settings and they still show up in the "Frequently used" section (even though I've never used one in my life).
It's very bad news for all of us when Apple can't even get the basics right.
And then we get on to the fact I pre-ordered an iPhone 11 on 13 Sept but am still waiting for it with no sign of it arriving any time soon.
I was a fanboy but Apple are seriously trying to annoy me at the moment. I'm sure it's personal. 🤬
