Notification sounds

I have my sound but can't get my sound on my notifications. If I bring them up in my settings to see if they r on they r. If I click on the sound for each one I hear them but I never get any of the sounds when I get the banners

Make sure your iPad is not set to mute.
If it is, unmute it. You can unmute it using the switch on the side or your iPad or using the control in the multitasking window, by swiping left.

You should also check that the volume for "Ringer and Alerts" in Settings> Sounds is turned all the way up.
Also, turn off "Change with Buttons"
