Hi, i have Mojave 10.14.4 and as far as i can see, all is working as it should be.

I have a question about the notifications please.
I get notifications for all sorts of things, emails, downloads and even if a zip file needs a password etc.
This is great and i can of course just click on the small "x" in the top right corner to dismiss the reminder/notification.

But, does this notification still remain somewhere, as a cache file or maybe in an archive somewhere to be got at, at some later date - or is it gone for good?

Many thanks!!

Three lines upper-right of screen. Click it, then click Notifications tab?

Well, yes thats what i'm talking about - but that dosn't answer my question.
Unless you are wondering if thats what i mean of course?
They are the notifications i am wondering about.
Once deleted, are they recoverable, are they left in some kind of "cache" or "archive" ?

If I recall correctly, they are buried deep within /private/var/folders. Each system will have their own unique naming scheme. And parts of it require one being logged in as root/admin to view. Should eventually find a folder named with "notifications" in its name.

Buried deep in there are the databases (not text file/plists) that handle Notifications. Maybe/maybe not still have records in there for cleared notifications.

I can view so called hidden files/folders with "shift+cmd+period" - folder named "notification" is shown,
but all i see is the following enclosed screen shot:

Anyone else please?
