I think it's stupid you have to use the "local weather" in the drop down in your notifications. That shit drains my battery because every time I drop my notifications down, it checks my location to show me the weather.

I like it better before where it would just show the weather of whatever location you were last viewing in the weather app.
I hope this gets addressed in 6.0.1 so the battery life doesn't suffer.

Step 1:
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Weather [Off]

Step 2:
Have Beer.

Done.

It doesn't update the weather then when I bring my notifications down..
It still defaults to "local weather". I can't choose what city I want weather for in my drop down notifications.

1. Open weather app
2. Press i in lower right corner
3. Press + button
4. Type in city

I don't think you understand.. I did this.

Still shows this local weather though, and doesn't update (obviously since I disabled location services for weather.)

it should work just fine.. i noticed the same thing but then prowled over to privacy to turn off weather location alerts and walla. that was a waste of energy on apple's part moving it all the way into there
