Notifications in OSX Mountain Lion

Am I the only one who when receiving notifications, no sound is played, even though in the notifications settings the 'play sound' option is ticked.

Would like to here other peoples experiences/views.

Yeah me neither. I hate it it's patchy at best and bordering on pointless with its lack of system wide integration, they'd wanna fix it before the GM.
