iPad Notifications Issue

Hello~ Asking for any help/advise regarding notifications. I have the MLB app installed on both my iPhone, iPad. For some reason, the notifications will come through on the phone, but not the IPad. Just to quickly list what I have done. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it (3 times) Also restored the iPad from backup, then set up as a new iPad. None of those steps fixed the problem. I have contacted MLB, and they advised to uninstall, then reinstall, and I also sent them through an email my settings, and they advised that it was set correctly. Not really sure what else I could do, and would appreciate any insight anyone could offer. I was wondering, is it the device, Carrier settings (it is Wi-Fi/cellular), or something else. I have noticed, on occasion that another notification app (score alerts) tends to act "wonky" as well. Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions.
