Notifications not received if on fringe of bluetooth

I’m getting repeated issues of not getting notifications when I’m in the kitchen and the phone is in ther living room. Also get the same if I walk out onto the drive - I will miss the notification from the nest doorbell every time!!!. I think it has to do with Bluetooth range and the notification arriving before the watch has switched to WiFi or cellular. I think it tries to hold onto Bluetooth for too long......

Throughout the day, I can check my phone to see several notifications have arrived that I have not been aware of - ie have not arrived on the watch. Why does the watch not check for missed notifications when in range / connected to phone and display them? Is there an app that can do this? I also have a garmin, and at least with this, it will alway display missed notifications when re-connected.

Am I the only one with this issue?

Maybe it is Bluetooth fringes but I also missed an important text when hanging out with the neighbor in his backyard one day. I had my watch on and left phone at home and was waiting for the text. I never got it. When I got back home, the text was sitting there on my phone.
