Notifications out of sync

This afternoon the notifications stopped on my Watch. Then they started but are now delayed. My phone dings and lights up with the notification, and then my Watch dings about 15 seconds later. I've done a hard reset on the phone and powered off the watch.

Any ideas?

Mine has been doing this today also.

Started a thread on this yesterday. No one replied.

Restarted watch and iPhone and it wasn't fixed. Then I restarted my watch, iPhone again and this time my MacBook Pro( it's connected to handoff) and it was fixed. Not sure what exactly was the cause.

I called Apple Care about this exact issue and it has since been fixed. Here's what he told me to do:

1: Go into notifications on the apple watch app and under messages switch to custom (you'll switch it back).

2: Go to notifications on the PHONE and under messages toggle off allow notifications.

3: text yourself

4: Revert back to the way it was by turning notifications back on and switching back to mirror your phone.

Of course, the usual reboot phone/watch wouldn't hurt after this.
