Hi,

Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but I can’t figure out why notifications show up on my Apple Watch even though I’ve turned them OFF on my iPhone. They don’t show up on the phone, only the AW. Very annoying.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Cheers

In Notifications, do you have “mirror my iPhone” set for the apps in question?

Hmm, thanks for the reply. I can’t find that ‘mirror my iPhone’ setting for the apps in question unfortunately… I should have been more precise… The main apps in question are Uber and Uber Eats (lots of annoying ads always popping up). I haven’t turned the notifications OFF completely for these apps, because I use them quite often… Just all the banners and such in order to avoid all the spam on my phone, but unfortunately they still show up on my AW… ?‍♂️

I have the same issue with the reminders app. I have turned off notifications for all-day reminders on the iPhone but every morning at 9 a.m. I get a notification on my watch. Been in contact with the apple support for almost 2 months now. It seems they have no clue how to solve this. Nothing helped until now, updates, factory reset… very annoying and frustrating indeed.

I made an account specifically so I could reply to this post. It’s getting rather aggravating now, I have the same issue with Uber/Eats as well as Telegram, but not WhatsApp.

I find it most annoying that these apps don’t even appear on any of the notifications settings on the watch, so there is nothing I could further try.

I’m not going to resign myself to these realllly annoying circumstances, though I’m pleased it’s not just me. It’s funny, most of the search results I got were for the complete opposite, how to get all the notifications, all the time.

Anyway, hope we get answer sooner rather than later.

EDIT: Sod’s law, I just bitched that all out and think I may have found something. In the notifications settings for each offending app on the phone, there might be a button which says ‘(whichever app) notifications’ - tapping this takes you to yet another notifications screen with various options. I’ve just mirrored the settings on phone and watch notifications on this exciting new screen and will see what happens.

Yeah, don’t even get me started on Telegram lol. I made another thread about that some time ago. It has been a continuous pain in my arse, but fortunately I don’t have many contacts left who still use Telegram…

Hope you find a solution man, and please share it here ?

Cheers
