The LED notification when one has received SMS, email or a call is OK. But I still miss a notification that lasts longer than the moment the message is received. It would be great to have a visible signal on the iPhone (and iPad) that is visible until one checks the message. Perhaps the screen could show it by being in a state of very dim light? Or in another way.
One more feature that I miss, is the option of pre-programming SMSs and emails to be sent at a later time. This scheduling option was a feature of the old Nokia Communicators, running Symbian, and it was very practical.
