How can I be notified if someone replies to a post that I make?

For example, I post "abcd" and another user "quotes" that post, is there any way I can be notified of that specific reply?

I know about subscriptions, but I do not want to get an email for EVERY post in a thread, just the posts that are directed towards me.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I know it used to be a few years back on other forums. (it would send a PM when a reply was made)
