Notifications

How do i configure the Notifications? I don't get any notification i.e. when i get a mail.

I don't have mavericks but there is a notifications preference in the system preference app - check that out.

Mail is included there along with more apps, but still nothing.

I get email (and all others) but Messages aren't showing up for me and they are enabled. I believe they were in the first build.

I'm not getting email (Gmail) notifications either. They are enabled in the Notification preferences.

Last time I booted into 10.9 I had the same issue. It happens in 10.8 as well, but it works fine if I have it turned on to banners, so I might try doing that in mavs and see if it helps.

Just repair the permissions and everything works fine.

I am curious do you have to have mail app open so the notification to work?
