Hi, I have an old MBA with

connected, via HDMI cable, to a TV.

When I close the lid, I see these notifications. I don't see them when the lid is open (I use the keyboard to type).

It's set to mirror display. Anyone know why I don't see these notifications unless the lid is closed?
