Is anyone here associated with the Mary Mallon Nova episode? It's from 2004 and is replaying on PBS this weekend. I'm wondering why the photo transfers turned out to be so poor. While the reenactment actors and the historians all look fantastic 1080i HD, the photo transfers from turn of the century America photos look incredibly bad, low res, and downright UN-Nova like. Can anyone in the Northeast involved in thei HD production explain how this happened and why?
I thought this was simply a matter of high res scanning into Photoshop to prepare those photos for part of the HD edit in Final Cut Pro. Right?
I'm posting this in Digital Video because it's related to importing photos from Photoshop into digital video for HD editing.
