Seem like is Global thing. For the people around me, this is real. Many of my friends, colleagues, and even my parents only use a desktop or laptop as a "real" computer at work. Phones are used for every other situation, such as at home, during commutes, at the dining table, and before sleep.
The more I think about it, the above is another reason I really believe I no longer need an Apple Watch...
i feel more people on phone is " no need to sit in the same position for hours ". I mean like don't tie to yourself only on your desktop.I actually try to avoid using my mobile.
When I switched to using macOS years ago, part of the reason was to use Messages, email, and now even WhatsApp directly from macOS, versus having to pick up my phone every time a new notification would come in.

Agreed. I can’t stand the thought of shopping or whatever on my iPhone. Two 27” screens connected to my Mac Mini is best for that thing.I'm the opposite. I spend a LOT of time in front of a computer. I purposely design the spaces I have for my computers so it's comfortable. And my Mac is connected to large displays and a TV. I'm not consuming content on a little screen like my phone.
I'm coming to the end of that though. Soon, I will be back at work. But…the work laptop goes with me, so more screens - only this time at work.
I grew up with computers. They do things phones/tablets can't. The phone is for calls, texts, some light emails and maybe web browsing when I'm out (which isn't very much). For some people phones seem to be fine, but I want a keyboard and mouse attached to a computer and as big a screen as I can get.
