My Brother MFC420CN ran out of ink a while ago, and I was growing tired of it. Sure, it was a reliable network printer but it guzzled that (not cheap) ink pretty darn fast and wasn't all that great software-wise, nor was I pleased with the 15 minutes to print a picture thing >>

So I was looking around, and thanks to some people on fatwallet/slickdeals, scored a Canon MX860 for $80 at Staples. At first, I was apprehensive because the thing is huge!!! On the other hand, the features were cool, it actually does pretty good at borderless printing, and it has a duplexing ADF. sheeeet that's a lot of stuff for $80.

So then I tried printing a picture today, I already knew it was fast and did some decent scanning, geez that was fast! Not half a minute to print a full sheet? And it looked better than anything my Brother ever made haha.

Now I see why you guys like Canons so much :)

I'm more of an Epson guy myself, although I use Canon cameras ;)

I have considered getting a PIXMA Pro9000 though.
