Of course, majority would want a jailbreak now.

There are more users that are without a jailbreak compared to those with a jailbreak. The logical answer would be to wait for iOS 8.

I do not have enough facts to form an opinion I am confident of.
In the past, when I have, I have always advised waiting. That does not necessarily mean it is the correct advice this time but I have never regretted being listened to in the past.

I hope all those hackers just stop talking about the 7.1.x JB at all. They should focus on an iOS 8 jailbreak instead of teasing everybody with their video's claiming their devices are jailbroken.. I think they had more than enough time to release a 7.1.x JB, and now it's too late, they should wait for 8 final or all this waiting would have been for nothing IMO.

Things are not as straightforward as you seem to think they are.

Never were, but things get more complicated with every release.
