Now Sat morning can anyone get on ITUNES

I am still sitting here Saturday morning with my new 16 gig iPhone and cannot get online to itunes to activate the phone. Has anyone been able to get online. I don't even have phone service and need it badly. I have been trying to get online since 11:00AM Friday to get activated.

Maybe its a problem with your internet connection?

If you have a laptop go somewhere to a Wifi hotspot in town (where there is likely to be ATT reception) and activate the thing.

I have a good wifi connection, and AT&T says that they are not setup to activate the phones. What a mess. I have also tried using my aircard instead of the wifi and still cannot get on itunes store.

I had no problems activating this morning through itunes.

I'm accessing iTunes just fine here. Have been since last night.

I brought 2 new phones home about 2:30 EST yesterday afternoon, plugged them in, and they both worked in about 10 seconds. I've had zero problems.

And routing/DNS issues with your ISP in your area?

Activated mine yesterday afternoon about 30 minutes after leaving the store. Appox 3:30 pm Eastern time.
The only thing it would not do is register with apple thru iTunes and even finished that last night.

i updated my first gen iphone to 2.0 yesterday at about 430 and it connected first time right away....

no problems for me

Sounds like EVERYONE is getting on iTunes this morning except you. That would seem to indicate a software or hardware problem on your end.

Try using your old SIM from your old phone to activate the iPhone.

I've been on iTunes yesterday and today buying and downloading new apps without a problem.

I also updated two iphones to 2.0. One yesterday that took ages and another one this morning.

Try this

If you are getting the error trying to activate (-4 I think) leave your iPhone plugged in and select something on your iTunes library (like movies for instance) then reselect the iPhone. It will try again to contact the activation servers. Did this yesterday for about 30 minutes for three different phones and it finally worked. Can't try it this morning as I don't have anything to activate!
