where do you guys go for the protective case besides apple store? There aren't a lot of choices at the moment. I only see a brand called ESR at Amazon. Where else should I go to check? Thanks.

ESR's main site had more than Amazon had listed, but not sure if they're just posted as pre-orders or readily available. It didn't really say.

That's the drawback of early adoption.

Over the next several days or within a reasonable amount time many companies will make their announcements. Depending on what type of case you want here are to companies I highly recommend:

Nomad (I currently use one of theses)

Burton. (Former staff from Pad & Quill excellent leather cases, I am currently waiting for their announcement)

Yes, best to wait. You don't want the 'We guessed' cases, or just the rushed-to-market ones. Really, there's not much of a wait for any of them. Like a week, or two. These guys can tool-up your momma in a split second.

When I pre-ordered case for one of my iPads on Amazon (iirc, either Moko or ESR brand), the magnets for the cover weren’t aligned properly. The seller just sent a free replacement automatically. I didn’t even have to contact them.

I'm looking for a slim case that also works with the Magic Keyboard, I guess I'll have to wait but any suggestions from previous generations?

I've had ESR iPad folios for two other iPads of mine. Even after four+ years of heavy use, they have not failed nor have they worn out.

I just bought this one (see link below) from Amazon for my iPad Pro 13" M4 2024...

Aww this seems great! And also reasonably priced. Thanks so much for recommending this!

Nothing. I don't use cases. Especially for this super-slim one, I don't want to ruin that feel with a case. I will, however, possibly get a smart folio, whether from Apple or from 3rd party, but that is mostly for angling my iPad for drawing and watching things on desk. And maybe the Magic Keyboard.

iPads have been proven to be quite reliable, at least for me. And yes, I believe Apple that this new thin one won't be less sturdy.

I've went on to order from the ESR site, but I chose the Shift Case. Shipping was super fast .... was able to receive it in only three days. It's a little heavy on the side, but I love the design and it's high quality feeling. Thanks for your recommendation.
