... is someone developing a computer based JailBreak?
As much as I love my Jailbroken iP4 and iPad, the method by which it was done kinda freaks me out me.
Apple's patching the bug exploited to create it, so it will not be usable after the next update (without revisions or a new exploit).
Why is it on it's last legs?
So don't update! Also, save your SHSH blobs and you could always just revert to 4.0.1 and jailbreak that.
Whew, well jailbreakme had a good run. What a four-day blast it was! I actually prefer the web method over the download several files, large ISPWs, multi-step desktop software, restores, etc. of the olden days.
Yeah, it's great!!! Just as good as Spirit, but at what cost?
You know you can install the PDF Warner from Cydia so your iPhone will warn you with a popup if any PDF tries to run from your browser.....
Link please!!!

Then install the app that protects you against the vulnerability, jeez. Don't fear your shadow.
Please read the posts !
It's in Cydia, use Cydia search page to find it, then install it.
There is no link !![]()
Jailbreakme.com is not 'on it's last legs.' Every jailbreak, by it's nature, relies on a security hole which could allow malicious software to take complete control of your phone. And every such hole gets patched by Apple. This is no different than redsn0w, blackra1n, or Spirit in that respect. The only real difference is the amount of publicity it's getting.
Very well said.
The other nonsense posted on this thread is beyond tinfoil hat syndrome![]()
Why you don't believe there are alines orbiting our planet trying to read our minds? XD
I don't get it...why would ANY jailbreak be on its last legs? In order to close the hole, Apple has to release an update. In order to kill the jailbreak, you have to willingly run the upgrade. So...(egg timer ticking noise....ding!)...Don't run the upgrade? Unless Apple is going to start remotely forcing iPhone updates?
