I need this for Photoshop and things like that to aid my photography etc..

Probably use office also etc..

I want the 24" version, but which GFX card would be fine?
I know nothing about cards. Also would 2.66 be ok for me?

Thanks!

Things like Office and Photoshop don't take advantage of the graphics card, except in rare circumstances.

If you play games, then you should look at getting one with dedicated graphics.

Depends what version of Photoshop he's using. If he's using CS4 (the latest version) then a graphics card will help massively with photography work in Photoshop, especially if he's using large photo files or RAW files.

I do shoot in both raw+jpeg. I will be using CS4.

That cuts it down to two of the top 2. Still with regards to gfx card, should it be the 120 or 130 card?

Thanks.

i would go with the top end when i use photoshop. i do notice a difference between a card with 256 and one with 512 when working with very large images. All of the imacs will allow you to do photoshop the higher end ones will just be faster.

Thanks all, ended up with the 3.06 24" and the 512mb gfx one.

Looking forward to going Mac!
