Today I went to the Brighton, UK Apple store to replace the battery on my 6s, after online chat with tech support on Tuesday. Diagnostics showed battery was 85% capacity and had no tech issues. But for £25 let’s replace it. Two hours later I go back and speak to member of team (when I went in at noon store was heaving and was at 2pm). 10 mons later greeted by team member who tells me there was a problem with the battery replacement. They could not get it out. ‘So,’ she said, ‘here is a new phone.’
And I’ve checked it is (week 18). Ironically is space grey not rose gold but space great was what I wanted back when it was new but you can’t tell as it’s always had a cover on it. Where else would you get this service: for £25?
Downside is it’s ios 11, which I’d avoided as wanted to keep various apps (and if battery replacement had worked I still would of had), but I can’t complain.
We all complain of the Apple Tax but it pays for events like this.
And I won’t need to buy a new phone for a while now.

Apple has always been amazing to me. They replaced my 2008 15" MBP with the then new 2011 unibody MBP (and even swapped out the screen for the hi-rez screen, since that is what i had), and just gave me a replacement magic keyboard 2 since I guess my AppleCare on my 2015 MBP covers it.

More success stories with this company then negative reviews. Although we can all agree that Apples prices are very expensive for their product line and services, you still receive some of the best customer service behind those products and we need to hear more success stories then we do complaints sometimes.
