iPhone 12 Now we have marketing in our settings?

Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed by this "setting suggestion" to sign up for "Apple Arcade"? Honestly, I wouldn't even be here if it hadn't gone away the first time I clicked "Decline"! But now it is back, and therefore passes into the annoying category of repetitive marketing.

If they want to offer me a free trial, fine. How about an email? But to put it in my settings? That's a little out of line, especially for Apple. I hate to say it, but Steve Jobs would never have done this.

I think it's been there for a little while. I remember it on my iPhone X at launch. I just declined the offer and it went away.

this time around i accepted the apple offers and set a calendar reminder to cancel before getting charged.

Woah that’s not cool, never seen this in my Settings but I would be annoyed if I did. Part of the reason I left Android as my daily driver was due to OEMs like Samsung pushing notifications of their new devices to our devices in the notifications shade, really hated that, I hope apple isn’t going this way and I absolutely agree, this is DEFINITELY something Steve Jobs would be completely against.

Yeah, but I have no interest in "arcade", I don't really play games on my phone. And also, my memory is shot and I know I'd forget.

I have one for Fitness+.

Dylan, what you are seeing is not an ad per se. Apple is informing you that you are eligible for what you see because of a hardware purchase you made. If you don’t want to take the free trial, then decline and you won’t see it again. Not a big deal.
