Good find! I've been using my admin account since I bought it a couple years ago. I've been thinking of reformatting to "tidy up" and starting from scratch with a secondary account for a while. Hindsight biased applies here but it makes sense.

There were a few good nonobvious tips in there. Not running as admin is sort of a general securty rule, but providing a list of service to disable is handy, as was the idea of resetting the file permissions on your user directories.

All in all, pretty basic stuff, but I think that is a good indication of the overall security of OSX. It's not airtight, but it doesn't take much to lock it down from the default state.
