So i just bought myself a shiny Western Digital My Passport Studio Portable, pre-formatted to use Mac file types.

Its all working fine with my Macbook Pro, via firewire 800, the only issue I have is getting the 550gb of files I currently have on an old NTFS external drive to the new WD passport?

Any advice on the best way? Or any way at all?

Time is not an issue, i'd rather get it done properly!

Many thanks

Snow Leopard can read NTFS formatted volumes so you should be able to just plug it in and copy everything to the new HD. If the drive is not recognized, try NTFS-3G

Many thanks!
Do i need to copy to my mac HDD or can i just bypass that completely and go from one HDD to the other?
