Nuance Voice Control

So it looks like Apple licensed Nuance voice control. Looking at the docs, I am wondering if the complex speech recognition i.e. song and artist names is done over the internet.

I doubt it could be as fast as shown in the guided tour if that were the case.

My guess is it's local, because you're right it wouldn't be as fast if it has to send your voice commands to a server and then instructions back to the iPhone.


On the other hand, Google's app is not that much slower either. There's one sure way to find out... Put it in airplane mode and try it out.
