Hey guys,

I have a short film I'm scoring which cannot be re-edited (I cannot find the original Final Cut files). I have managed, more or less, to match the score to certain cuts in the film, but there are some which are a few frames off and the video could use some gentle nudging to match the tempo of the song I've scored. I've got the video in Logic Pro right now.

My question is: Is there a way to nudge the video, either by very slightly speeding up or slowing down scenes that will allow the video to fit the tempo of my score without rippling the rest of the video? Using FCP 6

Thx

Yes there is a way. There's a whole art to this. Look up time remapping in Final Cut.

If you are wondering how to do it:

You will need to convert the video file you have to something editable (AIC, PRORES etc...)

Then you should be able to cut up portions and time remap to your hearts content.

You should then be able to flip between logic and final cut quite easily.
