Numbers don't match

I'm either the dumbest person on Earth, overlooking something simple or my iPhone is messed up.

I've been searching all day for an answer but I'm ready to start climbing walls.

My Camera Roll shows I have 983 photos and 32 videos.
But iPhoto AND Image Capture on my Mac both show 990 photos and 1 video.

All I want to do is transfer photos and videos TO my Mac.
I don't want to Sync them with anything. I don't want them organized in some cryptic location...
I just want 1,015 items to copy from my 4S to my Snow Leopard machine.
Please tell me the quickest and easiest way that I can transfer ALL.

I am Jailbroken if that will make it easier.

Hmm.. haven't thought about that. Perhaps.. I'll have to check.
BUT why would those apps tell me I have MORE photos than what's actually on the iPhone? :

Oh I didn't read right and thought iPhoto was reporting LESS rather than more. Maybe some of the videos are being read as pictures.

Checked. There were some folders w/ old images so I deleted them, emptied trash, rebooted. Also UNCHECKED to hide 'already transfered' -- still nothing..

Anyone else?? Come one there's gotta be someone on this forum at this hour that can help! Please?
