Dear Numbers users,
I am a bit disappointed that Numbers tend to do things differently from Excel, even though almost all spread sheet users already know basic Excel methods quite well. Apple should just keep the basic stuff the same, but use different approaches for the more advanced stuff. I am having some difficulty with a simple problem.
Example: In Excel, if one had "1" in cell A1, and wanted "1" in cell A2 and A3, he would hold down ALT while dragging the corner of the cell. In this way, Excel won't "intelligently" make A2 = "2" and A3 = "3".
In Numbers, no matter what I hold down, it keeps assuming I want to advance the cell content incrementally, even though all I want is a simple copy.
Any help? Thanks a lot.
JC
