Numbers...Not free

I bought an iPhone 5s yesterday. I was led to believe that iPhoto's, Pages, Numbers etc would be free with this purchase. Not so much. Numbers still costs $9.99. Did I read all of this wrong?

Did you restore from back up?

You need to set iPhone up as new, then there is an option to download them all for free.

After that you can restore your back up.
