Hey gang -

I'm starting to use Numbers on the iPad for a function I used to use Excel for. One of the things I need to be able to do is put today's date into a given cell, and not have it change. Meaning I can't use the TODAY() or NOW() (if it's there) function. Using those functions will cause the dates to change every day the spreadsheet is opened.

Excel had a keyboard shortcut built in, CTRL ; that would put the date into the cell. Is there something similar with Numbers?

Thanks!

This might help

If you format the cells to date and time and select the "day" tab, once you double tap on a cell in that row/column, you will find the "Today" button which should give you what you want.
Hope this helps.
