Numpad simulation in newer Macbooks

Can it be done? The old Mac laptops and keyboards had this feature by using F6 but I think that's gone now. I'm getting into some pretty stellar DOS gaming these days and a lot of the games require keys only found on an extended keyboard. Does anyone know of a way to remap the Macbook's keys for this purpose?

I'm aware that keyboards exist. It's not an integrated solution and since I'm using a laptop it's also not convenient.
