Is there any good programs out there for making your own Nutrition Fact panels and labels?

either in mac or windows will do.

Hmmm...

Not that I'm aware of, but I've made some private apps along similar lines. If you don't find any suitable software, let me know - I might be interested in working on a publicly available version.

well the best solution i found about a year ago was this link to make them online for free:

i would really love a simple program or an add on to a simple bar code program generator to make these nutrition panels as well.

some trials of programs i downloaded for windows are a mess

Ah hah!

Well, the online version wouldn't be hard at all to replicate in as a Mac app (I'm a Mac developer). Why wouldn't you use their online service though? Is it missing some functionality you need? If so, can you explain what you'd need?

Also, you may have noticed from my signature that I already have a barcode app, so I could roll that code into a label maker pretty easily if needed.

the online link can do most of the things needed but the functionality I am missing is to be able and have 2 serving sizes and 2 %(percentage) columns in some cases.

I need a simple program in mac or windows. I can't use it as an iPad or iPhone app.

That's cool. Bear in mind that I develop for Mac OS X, not iPhone/iPad. ;-)

I'm looking for my next project so I might have a look at this one this week if I have time. I guess I'll pretty much replicate the online version as a Mac app. If you'd like to work with me to include your additional requirements then let me know.

Is there any significance to the colours? For example, is the Sodium per 100g always blue, or does it depend in the value?

not at all, on the contrary it should be with a unique background color.
