Nvidia 128mb or ATI 256mb

Hi all,

I have been doing a price check on the MBP's in the refurb section and just want a bit of advice re the graphics card before I purchase.

What is the difference performance wise between the Nvidia 128mb card and the x1600 256mb card ? Which one should I go for.

Any help and advice is much appreciated.

Thats not the point, but in this case, thats true. The nVidia 8600 is a modern, fast card; whereas the x1600 was okay in its day but that day is long past.

8600 128mb > x1600 256, no questions asked.
