NVidia 8800 GT First Gen Mac Pro Video Defect

A few days ago replaced by my original XT1900 in my 2006 first generation Mac Pro with the new 88000 card for first generation Mac Pros from Apple. Three days later, i am getting fine pixel-sized flickering green dots scattered across my primary monitor (30" ACD). A 23" ACD is without defect. I remember briefly hearing about this for the XT1900 a few years ago, but so far I have not read about a similar problem for the 8800.

Any suggestions?

Mac Pro 3.0 Quad 6 GB RAM, RaptorX 150 X 2 RAID0 boot drive, 1TB Seagate X 3 internal, Mac OS X 10.5.2
