Does anyone think there is a possibility for the new MBP will get a better video card such as the Nvidia 8800GT which is now out ??

Unlikely. The Apple notebooks operate within a very narrow set of parameters with regards to heat and power consumption, since Apple's goal is to keep them slim and (mostly) quiet. Also, historically graphics chipsets in Apple's notebooks have tended to lag after an update. It'll probably be at least one more MBP update with the 8600GT until we see a newer chipset in them.

You name your electrical devices?

How about the ATI Mobility HD3870 ??? That would have lower power consumption and heat. Be close to or equal in power to a 8800GT.

I wasn't aware that ati had an hd3870 in a mobility package yet. I think an nvidia 9500 is much more likely in a later update.

I'd like to see a graphics update by this summer, as that might be when I finally purchase a mbp.
